On November 4, the charity auction of the Together in Class Foundation, “Auction of the Stars,” was held at Hyatt Regency Sofia, in partnership with the Bulgarian Business Leaders Forum (BBLF).
The company BESHA, in partnership with the watchmaking instructor Mr. Dimitris Gerontopoulos, took part in the auction by supporting the cause and donating a half-day watchmaking course for enthusiasts. The course was offered as a prize through the donation checks placed on the tables of all guests, symbolizing time and opportunity. Because time is the most valuable resource, and if we can give a child more time with a teacher who believes in them—that is a true investment in the future.

Through initiatives like this, the Shakaryan family reaffirms its commitment to preserving and developing watchmaking as a prestigious, cultural, and high-value profession—an art that transcends time.
The total amount raised from the donation checks exceeded BGN 50,000, while throughout the evening the auction raised over BGN 500,000 through the participation of the stars.
The course was won by Mr. Nikolay Konstantinov from TERMOSYST, who donated the largest amount through the donation checks on the tables, and we at BESHA were delighted to fulfill this promise.

The winner was given the opportunity to explore the secrets of a basic mechanical watch, observe a professional master watchmaker in action, and understand how much precision, patience, and attention to detail this art requires.
Within six hours, our instructor Mr. Dimitris Gerontopoulos conducted training on the fundamentals of watchmaking, combined with hands-on practice in assembling a basic watch mechanism.

After testing, the watch functioned flawlessly and was presented to the participant as a gift by Mrs. Ani Shakaryan, as a keepsake, together with a certificate and gifts from the company. The guest also had the opportunity to visit the newly opened ROLEX boutique at 11 Saborna Street and to spend a day filled with attention to detail, patience, and a true immersion into the world of high watchmaking precision.

This initiative gave us the opportunity to present watchmaking in its practical and educational aspect to a person with a genuine interest in fine mechanics, and above all, to contribute to a noble cause.
